Fire crews take control of billabong estate blaze
Riverside has been one of the worst hit areas in the county in recent weeks, with nearly 20 houses under fire.
The City of Riverrun released a statement about the fire Monday night, saying it was the result of a large billabong fire.
“We are thankful that all of our residents have had safety and well being and continue to pray for the residents and everyone nearby and their families,” the stamassagetement said.
According to Riverside Fire Chief Bill McDonough, there were approximately 50 homes on the estate, and he estimated there are no more than 50 homes in the immediate area left to help.
Fi양산출장샵re crews were out Tuesday morning on the billabong lot where the blaze was spotted.
Officials have not released details of how l안마ong it will take to completely extinguish the fire and when it will be contained.
A fire crew in the neighborhood is working to keep the flames under control. They were called after reports of smoke coming from the billabong lot.
Crews from Riverside Fire Rescue were called to the 5200 block of West 1st Avenue at 3:45 p.m. and immediately went out, said Chief McDonough. The billabong lot is on a cul-de-sac which was badly damaged. It was not immediately known what caused the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
Police are taking reports of the incident immediately, McDonough said.
